Derek is a Member of Rose Camenisch Stewart Mains PLLC and has been practicing law since 2012. At Rose Camenisch Stewart Mains PLLC, Derek primarily focuses his practice on representing businesses across multiple industries in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, business and investment transactions, business start-up and formation, corporate governance and operations, and commercial real estate transactions. In addition, Derek has considerable experience in representing veterinary hospitals and clinics and automobile dealers by helping these businesses navigate the complex legal issues they face on a regular basis.

Derek is a native of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, and earned his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and Valedictorian of his graduating class. Prior to joining Rose Camenisch Stewart Mains PLLC in 2015, Derek was an attorney with a large regional firm, primarily focusing his practice on representing and advising clients on bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors’ rights law. In his free time, Derek enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
